My gingham skirt: favorite of this season!
This is my favorite skirt of this season, my gingham skirt! Shelbee and I had given gingham as a theme for the month of June’s The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. A print that is always very trendy, but this season it looks like we are overwelmed with gingham. Nothing wrong with that, because it is a perfect summer print. It always reminds me of Brigitte Bardot, Saint-Tropez, sun, sea. You get the picture right. It is a super feminine print, even a bit girlish. I was allowed to pick a gingham dress last year but …… I gave that away and I actually regret it a bit. I have given it away because it was made of cotton and I have a problem with clothing that wrinkles. Now that if I see the picture back I could have learned to live with it. Anyway, of course I bought another gingham item at the beginning of this season. I have to be very careful with the skirts of Zara because they are often just a little too long and that is very fussy on me. (you remember these two skirts that I shortened) This skirt is quite long but has a short piece at the front. I love it when a skirt has different length.
What is gingham exactly
One of my readers asked me what gingham really was, is it a fabric, is it a print. I looked up a site where they explaine it. And gingham is really everywhere. I mean check this Insta photo of mine! Haha, you see! While you are there, please do follow me! I like the black and white version of gingham the best, but it is fabulous to combine with bright colors like cobalt and red. Very obvious, but hey I am not inventing the wheel here.
