Faux Fur! That is what we showing this month! Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series after we had hosted The Bad Buy Book for a year. Now we are ready for a new challenge! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join!
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book about?
It is a collage of outfits! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We will keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc. But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you also wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!
So let’s start with The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book Faux Fur!
First my dear blogging friend and co-host Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge
I bought this pink furry coat at Target last year and I was hesitant about whether or not it would be versatile. It turns out that it is very versatile and I wear it often. I always feel like a super star when I wear it, too! Another item that I paid full price for…which is a rare occurrence. But I am glad I did. Definitely a Good Buy.

Every since I was a teenager I have had this thing for fur. Those were the days when we were still wearing actual fur. Nowadays I prefer the fake version despite it being less sustainable. But it is a fashion choice I have loved every minute. Because such a coat is so versatile and a fabulous addition to my style which is a mix of elegance and ease with a bit on the modern side. Denim, silk dress or winter whites…the fake fur coat is ready to rumble. The winter white look is on the blog.
And the lovely Jodie of Jodie’s Touch of Style
I’m attaching my pink faux fur vest that I just wore on Thanksgiving. I thought it added a little sass to this brown dress that my mom made years ago for me.
This is elegant Jacqui of Mumma B Stylish
I’ve had this grey faux fur jacket for absolutely years, it always comes out every winter and is nice and cozy, adds glamour and keeps me warm. It’s from M & Co, a shop in my local town, but really and truly faux fur gillets or vests as they are more commonly called are available everywhere.
Here I teamed it with a beautiful blue dress from H & M, along with leopard print shoes from Lotus Shoes with complementing bag that has a bit of glitter on it!
And finally my faux fur
I didn’t have any faux fur, so I bought the scarf I am wearing on Shelbee’s blog. And I bought the hat with a faux fur pompom! Because I need to wear a hat on the bicycle in this weather!
January’s theme will be: Sweaters!
Send your photo with a few sentences if it is a Good Buy or a Good-Bye and we will put you in the spotlights! Send it please before the 10th of each month to email@example.com or to firstname.lastname@example.org
