One of the items I wanted this season was a denim maxi skirt. I saw a very nice one online and of course I waited to long until it was sold out. Story of my life. But luckily they also had a very nice one at Zara, maybe even nicer than the one I had seen before, because this length is better. Unfortunately I no longer have the energy to actually go shopping. Except if I would take the wheelchair with me and I still think that’s a big thing. But a friend told me a few weeks ago if I wanted to go shopping, just tell me and we take the wheelchair, and maybe I’ll take her up on it.
Denim maxi skirt, been there done that…..
I’ve sent so many packages back by now, more then I kept, and I see so little appealing items online. I’m a little tired of it. Just want to feel the fabrics and go to small independent shops and thrift stores. Much nicer! I digress. Back to the denim maxi skirt. By the way, I ordered this skirt and the denim skirt at the same time from Zara and in my own size. Guess what! They were both true to size, how is it possible huh.
A trend of this season is to wear the denim maxi skirt with high boots. With a heel. And let me have those. Years ago I invested in beautiful leather classic boots. A brown and a black pair. I don’t wear them often, but they never are out of style and are very elegant and classic. And they now look beautiful under this skirt. But I went now for these fantastic sneaker ankle boots sock boots whatever you call them.
I have seen this trend many times before, denim skirt I mean…….oef I am really getting old…. And when I see a trend that I already seen, been there done that kind a thing, I usually don’t like it that much. But always had a certain love for a denim skirt. That said, I am starting to like jeans more and more…….oh my…..I growing to be mainstream……
How I styled it, this time because I know I will wear this one a lot!
Btw, often when stores say it’s maxi it isn’t really is it? Well to me anyway maxi is ankle lenght. And this ,,maxi,, denim skirt isn’t that. Ankle lenght would have been to long for me, to heavy for a denim skirt. Or it has to be really really long. But this lenght is perfect for me. I go with the flow and call this a maxi denim skirt. (it’s better for my seo, lol)
I am wearing my new striped sweater, I totally love striped sweaters and the best for me are the black and white ones. And added some black and white accessories.

This skirt is so similar to the one I shared yesterday except mine is more of a midi length, but the color and split are the same. I have really loved it. Those are some fun shoes. Love the way you styled your new denim skirt! It is a classic, and so versatile. I think you will reach for it to invent new and different outfits time and again. I am frequently disappointed by online shopping too, with many returned packages. It is becoming more of a necessity though, with fewer brick and mortar shops. Surely a denim skirt never goes out of fashion. Coincidentally, I’ve been looking for a long denim skirt myself. I found one in a charity shop in the UK but that’s a Summer one. But I finally found what I’m looking for last week. And new-to-me too!
I have exactly the opposite by the way: midi length is maxi on me 🙂

I really like this length and that opening in the front makes it so much easier to walk in. I remember a long denim skirt from my college days and it was a struggle to walk in because there wasn’t much of a slit, and no stretch, haha.
I love it that we are old enough to see styles return again and again. It’s like seeing old friends again,

Well I do like online shopping, but lately nothing fits and everything looks so different then it did online. But normally I like it. I like to try my clothes on in my own time.

Isn’t it funny how often certain things come around? Denim skirts are always a stylish option, IMO. I have pretty much given up on them myself, because I always can find something else I like better to wear.
