Have you already noticed I just love combat trousers and skirts? So it wasn’t hard to come up with a theme for this month. But a lot of women don’t like this trend that much so today we are with a small group. But nevertheless I got a lot of inspiration from the women who joined us! Hopefully you too!
Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series after we had hosted The Bad Buy Book for a year. Now we are ready for a new challenge! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join!
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book about?
It is a collage of outfits! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We will keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc. But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you also wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!
So let’s start with The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Combat trousers!
First my dear blogging friend and co-host Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge

Rena of Fine Whatever
I bought these camo cargo joggers back in Fall 2020 when joggers were first reappearing in stores. They are really comfortable and I wear them a lot. This is a more recent look I threw together for a night out with friends. Definitely a good buy.

Here is my photo of the cargo pants. I bought these over 15 years ago, so I would have to say they are a Good buy!!
I tend to pair them with something bold because they are so basic!!
Emma of Style Splash
I finally remembered to send a photo this month! These are my favourite combat trousers – they’re from River Island. I wear them a lot in spring and summer. They go with so many different colours and they are really comfortable.
And here are my combat trousers
I had a few trousers to choose from, but I decided on this one because I love to be matchy matchy(with some other ladies this month that is). This is a older photo as I don’t have these combat trousers anymore. They were from Primark and I wore them a lot. Just like the ones on Shelbee’s blog, I am styling the cool combat trousers with a feminine top! I actually still love this outfit a lot! These trousers were a bit to tight after several washes, but they were a very Good Buy!
April’s theme will be: Ballerina shoes!
And now hop over to Shelbee’s blog to see what the other fashion bloggers are wearing!
Send your photo with a few sentences if it is a Good Buy or a Good-Bye and we will put you in the spotlights! Send it please before the 10th of each month to shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com or to batennancy@gmail.com
By joining The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, you agree to receive a monthly reminder email for next month!
So many cute cargo styles! Sadly I don’t own any ballerina shoes so I won’t be participating next month either.

That’s a pitty Joanne, but thanks!
You all are making me think that I at least should try cargo pants!

Hahaha, only if you like them Michelle!
Look at you print mixing Nancy. I just love how you did this. It’s sad when our favorites wear out but it’s good we wore them so much,
XOXO

It is! I don’t mind that at all, most clothes aren’t worn out at all.
Although they are not a look for me, I’m loving the way you and Emma have styled the combat trousers with a super feminine top! xxx P.S. Have you introduced the new kitten on the blog yet?

No not yet but I will Ann!
Very nice looks, I do have a pair of combat trousers, but not camoflage. Thanks for sharing today. Jacqui x

Thanks Jacqui!
Nancy,
It looks like camo cargo is quite popular but I suppose that is the most literal fashion translation for combat pants. I’m looking forward to joining up again next month.

I am loving the light pink with the camo cargo trousers! I need to try that. I think I tend to wear my cargo pants the most in the fall.
