Nice and easy in a casual dress

Most of the time, with clothing, the way a dress or skirt looks is more important to me then comfort. I have this especially with shoes. When I was about four years old, my grandfather and grandmother took me to a shoe store, in a nearby village, where they had a special device for kids. They could watch through the shoes at the feet of the little client. To see if the shoe fit. Because if I saw some black lacquer shoes, I would say straight away that they were good. Of course that had to be checked out! I still search for shoes by their appearance and not if they are comfortable.

But now for a change a casual dress

Because I hate wearing old joggers and a old worn tee on the couch in the evening. But that is the time I want to be comfortable too. And have the cats sitting on my lap. This dress is ideal for that. With a belt and some accesories it’s stylish. I wear wooden bracelets here and a necklace with wood. ( actually a Jord watch would fit perfectly with this outfit!)And I pulled one side of the dress up and stuck it with a small earring for a bit more fun effect. And when I want to relax in front of the tv with my cats and Gerben and a nice drink, I’ll take off the belt put my shoes off and curl up on the couch! But still fashionblogger worthy! Besides, I also played a little with the pictures. But I will not do that anymore, don’t be afraid, I like my pictures better with no filter. With wrinkles and my own teint and bumps and all that kind of badness, but that’s me! I love hanging out in comfy dresses, Nancy!! Because you never know when friends will be stopping by, right?
And I agree with you on the changing the photos—who has time for that??

    • July 7, 2017 / 7:54 am

Thank you Jodie! And yes, you never know who rings the bell!

  2. July 7, 2017 / 12:46 am

Comfy and stylish is my kind of dress. I’m guilty of slobbing about in trackie bottoms, but it’s nice to make a bit of an effort, even just for watching tv in the evening. I love the colour of the dress and that it has straps so it won’t slip. You look lovely!

Thank you, I don’t like total of shoulder. I think this is a great compromise.

Absolutely fabulous! I also often choose pretty over comfort.

    • July 7, 2017 / 7:59 am

Ha ha, it’s what we women do. Actually it’s not. When I look at women while doing groceries or whatever, I often think: oh dear, just put in a extra five minutes and you would look so much better!

      • July 8, 2017 / 9:43 am

Oh yeah definitely! I just feel so much better and more confident when I knie I look great!

What a beautiful dress, I love the design, so original. The fabric looks so delicate and soft, and the color is very beautiful. The design with the straps and the drape is a cute one. Magnificent the outfit with the spectacular sandals and the rest of complements. A beautiful proposal with the air of the classical period, very interesting. You, as always, wonderful!

I love this dress! Yes, comfort is important. I mean, why woud you wear anything that’s not comfortable? But this dress is also very cool, in a subtle and elegant way.

Nancy, you are too adorable! I love this dress and I adore the accessories you chose to pair with it. I am with you on being comfortable and still stylish even when lounging on the couch. My husband’s favorite loungewear for me is an oversized men’s button down shirt, with shortie shorts, and over the knee socks…I am cute, sexy, and comfortable! But I might need to be adding a dress like this to my closet! Great look, my friend.

    • July 7, 2017 / 3:25 pm

Oh yeah, tell me about over the knee socks. Men are all the same! (Just kidding)

  10. July 7, 2017 / 3:05 pm

Loving this olive dress on you, Nancy! The straps are perfect. And aren’t you the stylish one to lounge on the sofa with your cats in such a cute dress. I’m the exact opposite. At the end of the day I go all in when I change into my relaxing clothes – velour track pants and a big, cozy fleece, no matter the season, are my evening-at-home go-tos. Your gorgeous look puts me to shame 🙂

    • July 7, 2017 / 4:39 pm

Ha ha ha, I wish I could switch into that!

    • July 7, 2017 / 7:53 pm

Yes, I noticed that my belts aren’t that good anymore too. But I hate those hard leather ones. I love the softer ones.

  13. July 7, 2017 / 5:24 pm

This olive dress looks very stylish, as well as comfortable. Your fringe sandals look great with it, too! Have a wonderful weekend, Nancy!

Love those too but don’t wear it that often!

  20. July 10, 2017 / 12:13 pm

Nancy, you look absolutely gorgeous in this dress. I’m a huge fan of khaki so I think it’s swoon-worthy! You’re so good that you avoid slobbing around in an old tee and sweatpants. I’m afraid I’m guilty of that…except I do try and find pretty sweatpants and vest tops lol!
Hope you have a fabulous week!
