It’s summer and I almost only wear dresses! I love them so much, like this lovely burnt orange dress. The only thing I always found annoying about wearing a dress, is that I always wore a cardigan or a jacket over one, no matter how hot it was. Because otherwise people would see my oxygen tube running over my back. If I wear a skirt or trousers, the tube can go behind the top or blouse and you can barely see it. But for the first time in almost eight years, I’m starting to don’t mind whether people see it or not. Pity it took me so long. But I do make it a lot easier on myself if I don’t care about what people might think. But let’s talk about the dress.
Burnt orange faux wrap dress
I was allowed to choose the dress for a collaboration and is from Azzlee. I thought it would be a bit more brown ish, but the color is burnt orange. Also pretty, with black polka dots! I ordered an L but I could have also ordered an M, although the dress is not to wide either. It is a beautiful quality, quite heavy, lots of fabric and I don’t need an underskirt even though the dress is unlined. What I think is a big plus is that the inside of the dress has the same print and is not white. It just looks so cheap and ugly to me when that is. This was actually a Instagram collaboration only, but I just liked the dress a lot. And if I woud wear it only for the collaboration I wouldn’t show it on the blog.
Burnt orange dress, but also a bit of black…….of course
I’m wearing a pre-oved military look jacket and my black heeled sandals. I like the contrast between the cool jacket and the feminine shoes. A black belt because otherwise the balance is a bit off for me and you have to much burnt orange surface. I wanted to wear my burnt orange/brown clay earrings with this dress but thought that, again for contrast, a statement black necklace should have been added. Black statement earrings could also have worked well.
I also want to wear this dress with this blue jacket and these gorgeous sandals! And with a new pre loved navy white striped sweater and white sneakers. Lot’s of choices of how to wear this one! Happy with this burnt orange dress!
I would really appreciate it if you would follow me on Instagram.

I am glad you agree! You know how I love black, but I can see that a monochrome black outfit looks better with a warm autumn colour or a lot of gold!
That dress is so very sexy and you wear it so well Nancy! I love the color on you and the cut but that slit is so special and unexpected. Have a super weekend!

Fabulous dress, Nancy! I love this burnt orange color and all of your cool black accessories. I do have a special fondness for military jackets! I just got rid of a few of mine because they were way too big. It made me sad to say goodbye but it freed up closet space for the things that actually fit me properly! Have a wonderful weekend!

I love the color on you! I never realized that is why you wear a topper with dresses! Please enjoy them with tops: who cares about a tube showing! But it does look pretty with the military jacket and those sandals

Indeed, who cares, I am glad I can think like that now. I never wear my tube when we take photos. So that’s why you hardly see me with them.
I always think of orange as more of an autumnal color, but you definitely are making a solid case for summer! đŸ˜‰

Haha, I will bring it then!
You made me cheer and clap to hear you say that about your oxygen tube Nancy. I bet that is SO freeing. I think it’s the same way with embracing our aging bodies and all of those issues. The more I care less about what others think, the more fun I have with styling clothes.

Oh, Nancy! That is a gorgeous dress and it looks fabulous on you. Yay for a collaboration! I will be eager to see those other styling options you mentioned.
I am glad you are getting more comfortable with your oxygen tube. While not the same, I am getting more comfortable telling people about my fibromyalgia and PMR when it is necessary to explain why I can’t do something or need to do it differently. At first, I avoided that. I’m not sure why exactly, except I guess it’s a normal compulsion to want to fit in.
You are inspiration to me, Nancy. I appreciate your positive attitude toward life, your sense of humor, and all that you do to care for your health.

I’m a big fan of this dress, Nancy! I didn’t see the black dot print at first, but it’s nice and subtle, not too noticeable. I love that the dress is fully-lined, and not lined in white. I loathe when a fabric’s print is white on the reverse – it looks so tawdry and cheap. I love the accessorizing you did and can see lots of different colours worn with this dress. But you missed the most important questions: DOES IT HAVE POCKETS? I would not buy it if it didn’t.
Thanks so much for the link-party!

Of course it has pockets!!Haha. Yes a white inside of a dress is really ugly.
What a fabulous dress, Nancy! I love it with the military style jacket! You always do such a wonderful job picking out the just right things to go with it! Thanks for the link party, too!
