Army green dress and mustard cardigan

Isn’t that a fantastic combination! A army green dress with a mustard cardigan! Just like I see a lot of grey and black together lately, that is also such a good combination. These colors do have a big autumn content, colorwise, and it isn’t winter yet here in the Netherlands, but it sure feels like winter. But with a dress like this one and cosy cardigan, I can handle it! And thick tights! I saw on Mary’s blog, Curlybyrdie Chirps, that she wore colored tights on a really amazing outfit! And that inspired me to go out shopping for some colored tights. I just have to check my closet on what colors I really want.

Dresses and cardigans. Can it be more perfect!

I think that dresses and cardigans are a perfect combo! Not only in winter but also in summer. I almost never wear a dress without a cardigan as you can see here and here. And in winter, or just when it’s getting colder of course, it is so easy to wear and so stylish. And you can wear any kind of footwear underneath. But I prefer boots with this look. In my mind army green is a very cool color and I think that’s why this outfit needed cool boots too. These are older boots but I still think they are fantastic. I just loooove the color and I like it when boots have buckles. And what to think of these fabulous earrings! I just adore them!

I am sorry that the photos aren’t the best. It was misty for days, very grey and very very cold. When it is that cold(it was freezing) my body needs to work harder and my oxygen level in the blood drops. And that shows! In my face! Sorry, can’t help it. But now you know why I don’t look at my best. When I go inside again in the warmth, it’s over in a minute. But I don’t like photos taken inside.

    What a fabulous combination, Nancy!!!
It’s so hard to take our photos in the cold weather. In fact, my mom and I just cheated today and went into the shopping mall…ha ha!

    • December 8, 2017 / 9:02 am

      Haha, I was shaking outside!

Nancy, you look very cozy and chic in that dress/boots/cardi combo. The chunky knit is fabulous and the colors are a refreshing change from black and gray. Thanks for sharing your styling ideas and for the link up. I hope that you have a wonderful weekend.

I really love warm mustard colour paired with green. And those earrings are great!

I’m so happy that I invested in some studio lighting for the house. I don’t have to freeze my butt off to take photos outside anymore! I bought mine online and they work pretty well. I really appreciate them now since we have so little daylight in the winter months.

    Thanks for featuring me.

Cute outfit combo. It looks good on you. I love how the color of your cardigan, dress and boots just go so well together. I agree. Taking pictures is just a pain. LOL But add the colder days and my goodness, it’s that much more painful to do. Happy weekend!

    • December 8, 2017 / 1:30 pm

      Thank you!

  11. December 8, 2017 / 12:57 pm

Oh my goodness, Nancy! This cardigan is fabulous! I love the color and the chunky knit and the length. All of it. And it is styled brilliantly over the Army green shirt dress. It’s funny that you style it this way because just yesterday, I was shopping in Target and I tried on this pretty red floral maxi dress with a similar cardigan in Army green. The colors played perfectly together and the style was exactly as you have done here. Great minds have great style! And your earrings are simply darling!

    • December 8, 2017 / 1:32 pm

Haha, isn t that just so much fun! I also have my eye ons floral maxi dress! Still thinking about it. But this Sunday we go shopping for a sweater for Gerben…….need I say more or do you get the picture
