Over 50, mini skirt and over knee boots?
Do we have to addapt our outfits when we are over 50? I feel like wearing a mini skirt and over knee boots. Should I wear that? I am 51, and okay we all say that we should wear what we want. Sometimes I feel brave enough to do so like my different shades of red outfit. Or wearing shorts. I like it, but it is important to me that other people like it too. I am sorry, can’t help it. And I always liked mini skirts, and always wore them a lot until I think about 10 years ago. And now I feel confidant enough to just wear it again. With over the knee boots!
Does your style changes over 50?
At first I thought: yes. Because as you get older your interest changes. Also your interest in other styles. Not with all of us of course, but it can. With me I think that my style hasn’t changed that much, it’s more that I had lost my style. You see, when I was in my 40s I worked in the fashion industry and I wore the latest collections. Not perse my style, but the latest collections. Being on trend at that time was more important then wearing what I loved. And the past two years, with a lot of help through blogging, I think I found my style back. And now I am wearing more and more what I like again. And today it’s a mini skirt with over the knee boots. The off-white blouse that I am wearing is a year and a half old and I have never worn it. I will never make that mistake again because I have learned through The Bad Buy Book that I should not wear that color! It is a very nice blouse though. To hide the off-white a bit, I wear a blue cardigan. And blue tights.
