TALL BOOTS LONG CARDIGAN

dark brown short cardigan in tall bootsThe story behind these tall boots.

I am really very happy with these boots. I’ll tell you why. I had last year bought these boots. A nice quality suède and elastic at the top making them sank not a millimeter. But there was a big problem with these boots. I could not walk normally on them! Because of my lung disease I cannot walk on high heels anymore(it’s to exhausting) But these are not that high and the tread was wide. I don’t know what it is but I cannot walk on these. I look like a construction worker when I walk on it. They were good for only one thing: I was featured with these boots at Everything Just So! Well, I still wanted some other over the knee boots in brown suède. I came across these and there was some kind of discount week going on and I paid €30 for these. Is that a bargain or what! They have a block heel and are easy to walk on and they don’t sack either. I am very happy with these!

How I love to style my tall boots.

I never wear boots over pants. It might look good on others, it certainly doesn’t work for me at all. I think denim and brown combine great, it gives denim a more sturdy look I think. Perhaps it reminds me of cowboys……I have nothing to do with cowboys…..don’t even like westerns or country music! I digress. I wanted to wear this long cardigan with the jeans and the boots. This amazing leopard print blouse would look good on it too because of the colors, but the cardigan made the outfit look very pale. So I decided to wear a dark brown shorter cardigan over the pale one. Because the darker brown one is a bit to wide, I closed it on my back with the last button. I added some brown and gold colored bracelets in different materials and leave earrings, I also wore a leave bracelet. And a beautiful leather wrap belt. I really love this outfit and it is perfect for this cold weather because of all the layers. I hope you like my outfit too!myself in tall bootslight brown long cardigan in tall bootsblock heels in tall bootsleopard print blouse in tall bootsbrown boots in tall bootsbrown belt in tall bootsoutfit in tall bootsbracelets in tall bootsdenim skirt in tall boots

All boots are good in my book and I’m glad that you found a pair of tall ones that you can wear. I prefer boots with skirts, like you’ve done, and your layered look is phenomenal. Leopard for the win ! Thanks for the link up

I like it, although I find it difficult to understand the combination of colors … I love the cardigan, it has a beautiful design, and I like the skirt, with the sash at the waist, highlighting your figure. The boots are beautiful and perfect for the outfit. Animal print is not my favorite fabric, but, in your look, it is very well integrated.

    • January 20, 2017 / 9:29 am

Thank you Josep! Don t you like the colors? It s a bit of Fall colored look.

      • January 20, 2017 / 10:15 am

Maybe it’s a translation problem. Yes I like the colors. What I wanted to say is that it would cost me to imagine a look with this combination. It was an attempt to appreciate your imagination.

        • January 20, 2017 / 11:40 am

Hahaha, oh Thank God Josep! I thought you did not like the colors!

        • January 20, 2017 / 1:22 pm

Maar daar is niks mis mee!

  7. January 20, 2017 / 10:50 am

I love this outfit! I always like blue and brown together, and the boots are fabulous.
I would never wear over-the-knee boots, or any boots for that matter, with jeans or trousers. I like the look well enough, on slim and tall women… but being short and not-so-slim myself, it would probably do me no favours. But the main reason why I would never wear boots with trousers is that I just find it uncomfortable, too much layering for my taste, I guess. Boots are for skirts and dresses (how else would you keep warm and dry in cold weather?)

Nancy, this is a great look! I love your creativity in layering the shorter cardigan over the longer to break up the paleness of the longer one. It is very flattering, too. And I love tall boots with just about anything, but definitely with shorter skirts and dresses they are my favorite! Well done, my friend! You look fabulous!

Happy Friday Nancy! I’m loving your boot sand how you styled them. I’m glad you were able to find a pair of boots that you can walk in. It sucks to have boots that look great but aren’t function able.
    Have a great weekend!
