FLORAL WRAP BLOUSE, LEATHER PENCIL SKIRT- FASHION

Leather pencilskirt and floral wrap blouse.

What a perfect combination! I adore leather pencil skirts. They are so feminine but also so very cool! And you know by now that I love everything that is wrapped! Especially a floral wrap blouse. So this, to me, is a perfect combination! I haven’t worn this skirt for a long time and in my mind it was actually a bit longer. Or I wore it a bit lower….mmmm….anyway, we have scheduled a few days off in April. We are staying in Hastings. Oh how I am looking forward to that. To visit Brighton, eat fish&chips on the beach, go to Seven Sisters. I love it there! This year we have planned to go to the UK three times. For those who don’t know, I have a rare lung dissease and cant’t fly anymore. When we did, we always went once or twice a year to the UK and once to Ibiza. So now we always go to Sussex. If we were twenty years younger, we probably would have moved to the UK.

Floral wrap blouse in spring.

I am not a huge colorful person, in what I am wearing I mean. Although I am much more colorful than I’ve ever been. But since it isn’t summer yet, I stay away from very bright colors just yet. This floral wrap blouse is therefore, I think, ideal for spring. A happy floral print with some darker colors! I am wearing simple gold jewelry with the outfit. I think it fits nicely with the brown golden flowers in the print. So, do you like to wear leather skirts? And if you do, do you prefer a wider model or do you also love a pencilskirt? Let me know in your comments!

Btw, don’t forget to send Shelbee and me pictures of your worst trousers so that we can put you and your trousers in the limelight for the  next The Bad Buy Book series!

BLUE PLEATED SKIRT & SAGE COLD SHOULDER JUMPER & FANCY FRIDAY LINKUP

Yet again another (blue) pleated skirt.

Can’t help it. I love a pleated skirt. I was in doubt about a pink one, but I ultimately chose this blue pleated skirt. Very likely that I still purchase another one later in the season. Actually, I already have seen a pretty one! Zara has a midseason sale going on and I saw this one. What do you think, shall I buy this one? Or is it to shiny? Please let me know. A pleated skirt is just so beautiful. Feminine, dressy, and you can make all kinds of styles with it. From sporty to elegant.

My blue pleated skirt.

I have often said it, I like blue and green together a lot. For this skirt I wanted a green jersey, so that I could already wear the skirt now. I have enough green tops but it is way to cold to wear tops now. This sweater has the perfect color. Sage! Also a nice name for a color. The perfect color but not the perfect look! I am not really a cold shoulder fan and not at all a torn, ripped, distressed fan! But I love the color to much, so I have to get used to it. And I am no longer twenty anymore, should I still wear these kind off sweaters? But Gerben said it looked good. So if you think it’s too young, then I will blaim him! Let me know your opinion, I can handle it….on a good day.golden earrings and blue pleated skirtfashion blue pleated skirtsage and blue pleated skirtBoohoo.com and blue pleated skirtblue pleated skirtoutfit with blue pleated skirtgrey boots and blue pleated skirtcold shoulder and blue pleated skirt

WRAP TOP AND LEAF PRINT SKIRT & FANCY FRIDAY LINKUP

My not green leaf print skirt.

You see at the moment in the new collections, just like last year, a lot of skirts with palm leaf prints. In green of course. I always like to do the things a bit different, also with trends. So, also with this trend. I love these kind of skirts, wide knee-lenght skirts. Especially when they have a bold print. I used to wear pencilskirts all the time, but now I wear more wider skirts. I think it has something to do with a certain area that nowadays only looks flat when I havn’t eaten for two days…….

How did I wear my leaf print skirt.

As you already know by now, I love a simple style. I am not going to bend over backwards to style this leaf print skirt in the most original way. I am wearing it Nancy’s style. That means a simple black top and boots with a printed skirt. I wear a choker with the outfit against all odds. I know these kind of necklaces don’t suit me very well. And after seeing it on the pictures I know I won’t wear it again! I thought I give the trend a go… The skirt reminds me a bit of the 70 s. When I was a child my grandparents had curtains with this print. In green of course. PLEATED SKIRT FALL VERSION

Today I’m wearing my pleated skirt Fall version!

The trend of 2016 is the pleated skirt. When I first wore this skirt I told you how I was inspired to buy a pleated skirt. I actually havn’t worn it that much yet because it’s a fairly heavy skirt and quite warm. But now it’s time to get it out of the closet and wear it a lot. The pleated skirt is seen in every collection in every color and even with prints. When I was in the UK a few weeks ago, I saw this one but didn’t buy it. Now I regret it, it’s almost sold out. And they are so versatile, wear it with a high heeled shoe and it’s dressed. Wearing boots with heels or ankle boots, it becomes more casual and when you wear a flat boot it gives the look a bit of an edge. The pleated skirt is a great garment.

Beauty is in the simplicity….

That’s what the sweater says. I am not a person that has much with spells and texts who are to be called profound. It is that it’s in French, it sounds good, otherwise I wouldn’t have bought it. Beauty is in the simplicity, yeah we all know that. We all know that we should enjoy the little things , that we have to realize what we have, that we should be grateful etc. etc. …most people are going to do that when life is no longer that obvious…. and there is nothing wrong with that. People should live there lives the best they can, the way they want to. I think the important thing is satisfaction! When you’re not satisfied, you can’t enjoy simple things. And probably also not simple things for that matter. I am glad I am a happy person. But well… the text actually refers to my taste in style. I like my outfits without to much prints, without to much accesories, without to much of anything. And is there anything wrong with that? No, I am satisfied with it! What else do you want?

What I wear on my pleated skirt?

I would love to wear the skirt with  a nice thick sweater with very long sleeves and a large col. But not just yet, we’ll do that in Winter! I’m wearing a thin sweater, a coated bikerjacket and my favorite lace-up boots that I bought four years ago because they were so beautiful just to look at…..and that’s exactly what I ve been doing ……looking at them. The heel was to high, but I brought them to the shoemaker( is that a correct word? It sounds strange) and he has taken a small piece of the heel and they are perfect now! I’m so happy with it!

STYLE MIX & FANCY FRIDAY LINKUP

Fancy Friday linkup on Pinterest!

I never immersed myself in Pinterest until Sunday after breakfast I didn’t feel like doing something yet, the mails were all answered, so I thought I give it a shot. And it turned out to be quite fun.( you of course do know this already) I now made a board were I feature the Fancy Friday most viewed and when Fancy Friday reach 100 linkups I make a board to feature my favorite! Last week there was one linkup more! Come on girls, you can do better! Spread the word!

Different styles in one outfit.

I’m not the type that wears a lot of prints or is creative with clothes, but I do always like to mix styles. Think pencilskirt/bikerjacket for instance. The off shoulder(that isn’t off shoulder on me, it snapped back the hole time) top is a bit beach look but could also be Boho. This is my first off shoulder top….and the last. I bought it because I love the color and the sleeves but off shoulder does not look good on me, I will wear this one as a mot off shoulder one! Ideal is that it has three-quarter sleeves. I have nothing with long sleeves. The boots are real seventies, block heel suède and beige. I could wear my front button skirt with the top and boots but I like this one better. It’s a denim skirt with a beautiful deepblue color. I have many high/low skirts, blouses and dresses. I love them, I think they are jaunty, cheerful and feminine. This skirt is pretty long in the back and has a nice bow!

BLACK TULLE AND LILAC

Back to black!

After, for my doing, some color explosions I want to wear all black again, just for one day.( just like Gemma did with her stunning wrapdress). But for you I added a little lilac to the outfit of the day. I must honestly say that I would never wear it this way. I think this tulle skirt is perfect with a simple tee and heels.

[bctt tweet=”How do you wear your tulle?” username=”Nancys Fashion Style”]

I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed that I, among other bloggers, was being featured by Sylvia of 40plusstyle. Thank you Sylvia!

I am every time as proud as a peacock ( do you say something like that? I know another phrase, something with a dog, but I keep that to myself!), When I am being mentioned in ablog. I mean, me? Nancy from Westervoort? hahaha, isn’t is awesome!

Back to the outfit!

Because this cardigan is a little fussy long, I’ve knotted it like a bolero. I wear two thin straps, also knotted. A simple plastic bracelet and a purple corsage because otherwise I think the lilac is a bit faded. And peacock earrings in various shades of purple. There is the peacock again! On the outfit with the leopard print flats, I wear a lot of gold metal bracelets and gold colored creoles with a lacquer belt. But I prefer to wear it like the first picture. All black!

Have agreat day everyone!
