Fancy Friday linkup on Pinterest!

I never immersed myself in Pinterest until Sunday after breakfast I didn’t feel like doing something yet, the mails were all answered, so I thought I give it a shot. And it turned out to be quite fun.( you of course do know this already) I now made a board were I feature the Fancy Friday most viewed and when Fancy Friday reach 100 linkups I make a board to feature my favorite! Last week there was one linkup more! Come on girls, you can do better! Spread the word!

Different styles in one outfit.

I’m not the type that wears a lot of prints or is creative with clothes, but I do always like to mix styles. Think pencilskirt/bikerjacket for instance. The off shoulder(that isn’t off shoulder on me, it snapped back the hole time) top is a bit beach look but could also be Boho. This is my first off shoulder top….and the last. I bought it because I love the color and the sleeves but off shoulder does not look good on me, I will wear this one as a mot off shoulder one! Ideal is that it has three-quarter sleeves. I have nothing with long sleeves. The boots are real seventies, block heel suède and beige. I could wear my front button skirt with the top and boots but I like this one better. It’s a denim skirt with a beautiful deepblue color. I have many high/low skirts, blouses and dresses. I love them, I think they are jaunty, cheerful and feminine. This skirt is pretty long in the back and has a nice bow!

  1. The top looks fantastic with the high-low skirt. The colours and shapes work really well together. I have the same problem with gathered elasticated OTS tops, but they do look good worn over the shoulder too. I love the boots, they finish off the outfit so well 🙂

  2. Oh Pinterest is fantastic! It’s a wonderful reaserch tool if you’re interested in something specific, like looking up recipes or design. This is what I use it for, anyway: to find interesting illustrations, Photoshop tips, art, architecture and design, not really for fashion. But I suppose most people use various social media platforms for different purposes.

  3. I still haven’t tried an OTS shirt either…but i do think there are some that are shaped differently. So i wouldn’t totally give up Nancy!!
I really like this color combination—very unexpected yet I love it!

    1. I actually don t like its Tops! As in that they just don t suit me. But the color and the sleeves of this one appealed to me! Haha, I think on shoulder is better for me!

  5. Pinterest is fun (and a way to spend countless hours…)!

I like your top worn on the shoulder, too – the color and sleeves are just so nice. I didn’t get (or even look at) an OTS top because I had one that was a disaster about 25 years ago, and I vowed never again… 🙂 The high low skirt looks fabulous! The high low hem adds so much interest to the outfit!

    1. Thank you Andrea! I am not a big fan either but it just was the color and the sleeves! You are right about Pinterest, before you know it an hour went by!

  6. Pretty color combination and I like it styled with your booties! I Love Pinterest and being able to keep all my inspiration in one spot. I refer to Pinterest all the time when it comes to cooking or when I am stuck in an outfit rut.

  7. Such a beautiful outfit Nancy. Both pieces have volume and both pieces have bows. I love them together. Great idea pairing them up and nice color combination, too. =)

Have a great weekend my friend!

  8. This may be one of my favorite outfits of yours yet! I do love the off the shoulder look but totally get that it’s not for you. I do not have anything off the shoulder either although I may add something to my wardrobe at some point.

  9. Like you, Nancy, Pinterest is virgin territory for me 🙂 I really ought to check it out more often but there simply doesn’t seem to be enough time to do it all (Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Periscope) and then blogging and responding to comments. Arrgghhh GRIN I love your skirt too. The hemline and that bow are so charming.

Do come by and join in the Project Sister Act Link-Up? It’s now live on the blog xoxo

  10. I’m new to Pinterest as well, Nancy. My eldest daughter was trying to get me acclimated to it last night. There are so many different social media things to try to keep up with and I just don’t have a lot of extra time, so I’m easing into it. Ha, ha. Love your outfit. It says comfy, carefree and classy all in one lovely look! I’m not a big fan of off the shoulder tops either. But your top looks great on the shoulders too! Thanks for posting and for hosting. – Amy

    1. Thank you Gemma! We looked for other furniture, we moved two years ago to a smaller house and the furniture we have are huge, and found out that err only like the furniture we have but a few inches smaller, or design pieces who only can be purchased if we won the lottery. So we have to find other solutions! How did you spend your weekend?
