SPECIAL OCCASION DRESS CASUAL STYLE & FANCY FRIDAY LINKUP

SPECIAL OCCASION DRESS CASUAL STYLE & FANCY FRIDAY LINKUP

Wearing a special occasion dress casual style

Have you got a lot of special occasions? Events where you can wear a special occasion dress? Not me! So when I was approached by JJ’s House to write a post about their dresses I had to think about it. Because they sell wedding and special occasion dresses. I never wear a special occasion dress, and it doesn’t feel good to appear on my blog in something I would never wear in real life. What you see is what you get, with me! But…., yeah you saw that one coming, I checked their site and saw that they also had Fashion dresses. And I fell in love with this one immediatly, I showed you also on the wishlist. When I was still working, I worked in a women’s fashion store where we sold a lot of elegant dresses, we always showed how to wear a dress for a party and how to wear it in a casual way. That made a lot of women buy a dress, because otherwise they saw it as a one wear dress. I want to show you today this dress in an elegant and in a casual way!

*This is a sponsored post, but I only show what I like, words and opinions are my own!

Special occasion dress two ways

The first look is the special occasion look. I am wearing my favorite heels, the leopard print sandals. And a silk grey jacket. Perfect for a special event. Simple accesories and check the clutch! Fabulous!special occasion dressesspecial occasion dressesspecial occasion dresses

For the second look I changed the sandals in over the knee boots in dark brown and a denim jacket. A big brown bag and some statement accesories. This is how I love to wear this fantastic dress, I would also love to wear it with a long cardigan and sneakers(although I hardly wear sneakers, but you never know!)special occasion dressesspecial occasion dressesspecial occasion dressesspecial occasion dresses

I would like to emphasize what a fantasic company JJ’s House is. And this has nothing to do with the fact they gifted me the dress and the clutch. Firstly, they advised me to take a smaller size, they found that the size I ordered was to big. The dress came into a beautiful printed box in a protective bag. The size is perfect! The quality is amazing and I am so in love with that little bag! I would really advise you, especially if you need a dress for a special occasion, to check this site.

It’s a beautiful dress and good to see it styled casually. I don’t ever think of doing that so I have some fancy dresses I’ve only ever worn once.

First off, this dress is gorgeous on you and I love the mix of yellow and gray. And your tip for dressing it down is one of my go-tos as well. It’s amazing how a denim jacket and casual boot can give even the frilliest sundress a more rugged, casual vibe!

      Zo is ie veel draagbaarder!

I am quite the same, Nancy, I don’t think I have any special occasion dresses in my closet at all. Perhaps a sparkly top? Or sequinned pants? And that’s about it. I just can’t justify spending that amount of money on something that I probably will only wear once. I mean, special occasion dresses need to make a statement, right? GRIN so whenever I need a dress with oomph, I go to Rent The Runway 🙂

But all that said, I love the first outfit. How you paired the dress with a silver jacket. I’ve always adored yellow with white and silver or grey. I remember seeing that on a Bratz doll years ago xoxo

    • October 2, 2017 / 9:09 am

Yes, I think renting is a great way to look stunning a special event. Thanks Sheela!

What a great choice you made with this dress – it’s gorgeous! I really like your first styling and would wear it like that myself. It’s a new brand to me, but I’ll check out the website to see more.

    Have a lovely week!
