What is a Chevron print exactly?
A chevron print is a v-shape that looks like a zigzag pattern. Most of you will recognize it from Missoni. But the chevron print is much older then that. It dates back from ancient Greece where it was seen in many art forms. And of course the chevron figure was and is used in the military and on police uniforms. Let’s keep it with fashion. Missoni’s popularity came in the 70’s when Diane Vreeland, editor of Vogue at that time, championed the chevron print. That’s why the chevron print always has a retro vibe. But Missoni still uses the chevron print in their collections. Missoni is working together with Target for a cople of years now.
How do I style a chevron print?
I actually had in mind, to stay in the 70’s vibe, to wear my grey pleated skirt and my new pink mules with this jumper. But you have seen that skirt often enough and you can imagine yourself how it would look. Next time when I wear it like that I will take a picture and show it. I choose to wear the sweater with a denim pencilskirt and light pink peeptoes. The sweater I bought at Primark. Sometimes you can find little gems there! I hardly ever do, but sometimes…
