outfit with leather pencil skirtThe outfit of the day is a leather pencil skirt.

Once the spring collections come out I tend to buy a lot. Spring fashion always look great, feminine textures, soft colors, lots of prints. So a little while ago I bought some spring items, but I cannot wear them! It’s almost freezing here! But it is always weather for my leather pencil skirt, and one spring collection item!

Maybe you know it by now, but I love leather pencil skirts. This is my favorite one, the black one! This blouse is my spring perchase, it is quite thin and you can’t see it so good in the picture, but it has a leopard print in the sleeves. You can see it better on the site where I bought it. These are older boots but they still look nice and I like it when high boots are completely thight to my leggs, I don’t like a gap between boots and legs. The plastic bracelets have the same colors as the outfit and the clutch has a crocodile print and soft tones. in the sun with my leather pencil skirt outfit with leather pencil skirt me in leather pencil skirt me in leather pencil skirt Raining on my leather pencil skirt me in leather pencil skirt

My week 17

Hello everyone, have you all had a wonderful weekend? We had, I think for the first time this year, a weekend without appointments. I thought it was just nice and relaxed. This has been my week:

Last Monday we went to the vet with Teun because he had an ingrown nail. And he is so brave then, and so nice. And it was  fortunately simple to fix and also for free! Can you believe that, nothing is for free these days, not even a smile…Here in the Netherlands it has been delicious weather for two days. On Wednesday I have been reading in the garden, look what a beautiful blue sky. I’m reading an old Karen Slaughter book, which you can hardly put down and that goes for all of her books, I think.

Wednesday night I had a meeting that lasted quite long and I was totally groggy afterward. Some new material to think about. Thursday I had lunch with Cien. We sat outside all afternoon and had a nice chat. Friday I cleaned the kitchen cabinets. Now all the cupboards are tidy and cleaned. That gives me a nice feeling. Sunday we went to Emmerich to the wharf, one moment we walked in the bright sunshine and the next moment there was a huge hail.

I made so many photos of food that I decided to put them together. I hope you enjoyed reading about my week. I wish you all a happy week!

khaki& grey outfit Fancy Friday

Today the Fancy Friday link-up party is on. Read at the bottom of this post how you can join me.

I do not know how the weather is with you, but I had lunch outside with Cien yesterday and today we have winter temperatures! I have to pull a sweater from the closet. Come on, let the spring temperatures continue please! So, it’s not going to be a spring outfit today, but pants and ankle boots in khaki&grey. Actually it is not khaki but olive, but I pretend it’s khaki( I like that better).

Khaki&grey sounds a bit dull, but I like this combination. The tunic with print makes it less boring and the jacket with a big collar and striking belt gives the outfit a vibrant look. They are all different materials. I usually dress pretty monotonous( I love a simple style) I like to wear different materials together. The pants are cotton, a satin tunic and a linen jacket, suede boots and a leather bracelet. flare ankle jeans

As I said last Friday, I bought a flare ankle jeans, another denim item to add to the collection. Well it is certainly not ripped, destressed or what kind of thorned jeans whatsoever! And I had luck with this one, because when I got it I saw that he was marked down for half. When I ordered the jeans it was not yet. Yeah! A bargain. I saw the flare ankle jeans before and I was already in doubt whether I would by one. I actually don’t like flared jeans, I think it does nothing good for my figure. That will come out of the time I was eight kilos lighter and had very thin legs. I think that a flared accentuates thin legs in a non- flattering way. But I do like pants that show some ankle. I find that, especially if it’s worn with a heel, very feminine.

And now about the outfit of the day. I’m all in h&m today. I think this is my cheapest outfit ever, and I love it. How is that possible! Lol! I’ve styled these flare ankle jeans with simple items, I think that compliments the jeans. A top with a lace v-neck, a v-neckline makes your neck looks more beautiful. The sandals are wearing very good beyond expectations. A bracelet with great dramatic charms and a ring in the same style. And a thin black strap with a small gold buckle.[bctt tweet=”What do you think of the flare ankle jeans?” username=”Nancys Fashion Style”] Have a Sunny Wednesday!flare ankle jeans flare ankle jeans flare ankle jeans flare ankle jeans flare ankle jeans flare ankle jeans

My week

Pffff, my week was busy, too busy. I was busy getting stuff together for the blog. And I got a little dazed by the spring jitters, so I decided to sort out the wardrobe and clean them. Well, it took more time than I had hoped. First it is for me, with my lung disease, heavy to lift and bend and it’s just a lot of closets. It probably has no sense to say that the most space of Gerben is…… yeah right. I had two trash bags with clothes that could go( and now I can fill the vacant space again!).

I had also bought new sportswear. A beautiful khaki/grey outfit. I had exercised three days in a row and the lunges made me walk half the week with muscle pain. These are a few of my fellow athletes.

And again it was Bingo time! I’ve already written about it here. I won a super nice hammock! We brought, like every time, a lot of goodies.

I’ve searched the internet for the oxyview and I think(and hope) that I can order them. That would be so very very nice because then I won’t have that nasty tube in my face. I have to wear glasses then, but that’s much less stressful.

Saturday evening we played games with friends. We played three rounds and I have not won one time! How is that possible! I love playing board games, and I’m fanatically, I want to win! Gerben had troubleshooting service and had to work many nights and evenings last week. Saturday he had to work all day and on Sunday he made a wonderful breakfast…….and then he was called up again! (so I did have a bit of luck they called after breakfast!)

I hope everyone will have a nice week!

denim skirt linkup

Today is the launch of the weekly Fancy Friday linkup party. Read more about it at the bottom of this post.

Jeans jeans jeans, you see almost nothing else in stores and online. I had never so many denim items in the closet as now, skirts, pants, jackets, everything! And now I bought this week a cropped flared denim(which I really was not going to, but I caved) and this skirt I bought while shopping with Cien. It reminded me so much of when I was a little girl. I have searched for a picture with a simular skirt when I was about ten years old, I’m sure I had one but I could not find it.

In any case fashion history repeats itself again, for a couple of years later(hmm) I’m wearing the skirt again. With these temperatures( it’s still here but 13 degrees)  I style the skirt with boots and a 70 ish sweater. But I can not wait until I can wear bare feet in sandals.linkup outfitpicture linkup denim skirt linkup denim skirt linkup denim skirt linkup denim skirt
